Digital Technologies

For those looking for a computer science degree with a high level of application relevance, the DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES study program is just right. The joint study program of Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and TU Clausthal is characterized by its innovative mix of the subjects of computer science, the interdisciplinary digitization projects and the six application areas (Autonomous Systems, Circular Economy & Environmental Technology, Digital Transformation, Energy, Industry 4.0, Mobility) in equal parts.

The master's program is characterized by the unique combination of the subjects of computer science, the six exciting application areas, and the interdisciplinary digitization projects. This combination within the four-semester program makes you an expert in digitization, its technologies and digital transformation.

The best comes at the end

With a successful master's degree in DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES, you receive a degree from a university or college. This means that all doors are open to you for your professional career in business as well as in science. A strong mix that only the TU Clausthal and Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences can offer together!

Three locations, two universities, one study program

Students in the DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES study program are enrolled at both Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and Clausthal University of Technology and can make equal use of the infrastructure and wide range of offerings, such as sports facilities, libraries, language centers, etc., at both institutions.

Internationality

The courses in our Master's program are predominantly offered in German. The program can also be studied in English with a limited catalog of subjects.

Structure of the study

The computer science

In the DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES master's program, you can select one major and one minor in each of the computer science disciplines and application areas. This allows you to determine your individual specialization during your studies.

You can choose from these computer science disciplines:

  • Cooperative Human-Machine Interaction
  • Engineering Methods and Dependability
  • Machine Learning and Big Data
  • Smart Cyber-Physical Systems

You can choose from the following application areas:

  • AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS Here, fundamentals and in-depth knowledge of robotics as well as correlations between the prediction and behavior of autonomous systems are taught.
  • CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY How are raw materials extracted and processed? How can digital technologies be used in the context of environmental protection as well as for the simulation of environmental systems?
  • DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION Here, data and new technologies of digitalization are used to develop innovative business models, sustainable innovations as well as improved business processes and services.
  • ENERGY In addition to the fundamentals of electrical engineering and thermodynamics, this application area deals with the essential aspects of technical building equipment such as air conditioning and ventilation technology.
  • INDUSTRY 4.0 ...includes digital production with diverse aspects from measurement technology to automation technology as well as computer-integrated and additive manufacturing processes.
  • MOBILITY This application area teaches the fundamentals of traffic and logistics, traffic control and management, and automated traffic systems.

The interdisciplinary digitization projects

The special feature of the DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES degree program is the interdisciplinary digitization projects. In these projects, Bachelor's and Master's students from different semesters work together on prototypes and combine the fundamentals they have learned in the computer science disciplines with exciting, practically relevant issues in the application areas. The solution ideas are always developed with the help of digitization technologies. They combine in thedigitization projects.

On the pages of the study program you will find an overview of current and past digitization projects. https://www. digitecstudieren.de/das-studienkonzept/digitalisierungsprojekte
